Sensitivity analysis of cooling demand applied to a large office building

چکیده

Abstract Previous dynamic building simulation studies have not often focused on analysing the sensitivity of peak loads to input parameters. However, these may a critical impact system design capacities and power network operation. This study aims examine cooling demand related results (total electricity demand, HVAC end-use space cooling) in large office using two global analysis methods: Morris elementary effect Sobol indices. More specifically, this paper examines implications different type climates uncertainty output parameters for each result. Moreover, investigates difference between effects annual buildings, which can provide insight from perspectives total energy capacity systems, respectively. has found that generally, changes are more significant than demand. The coefficient variation is around 25% 21% identifies ventilation rate parameter contributes largest end-use, 50% 70% change (ST), both Regarding still one most factors, but equipment lighting densities also become contributor

Global State Context Prediction Techniques Applied to a Smart Office Building

Ubiquitous systems use context information to adapt appliance behavior to human needs. Even more convenience is reached if the appliance foresees the user’s desires and acts proactively. This paper introduces context prediction techniques based on previous behavior patterns, in order to anticipate a person’s next movement. We focus on two-level predictors with global first-level histories and t...

Sensitivity Analysis Applied to the Pooling Problem

In this report we discuss sensitivity analysis applied to the pooling problem. We apply both classical sensitivity analysis and new results by Castillo et al [1] to get sensitivities for all the input parameters. In addition we discuss some of the results in Greenberg [2] which relates sensitivity analysis specifically to the pooling problem. We finally provide some illustrative and relevant ca...

Sensitivity Analysis Applied to Multiple Fault-trees

Fault-tree analysis is applied to technological systems to determine the probability of system’s failure modes with unacceptable consequences, called “critical states”. As many Fault-trees as the number of system’s critical states are constructed and analysed; when their probabilities are deemed not acceptable, the Importance and Sensitivity Analysis (ISA) is applied to improve the system safet...
